James H. Gault, M.D.

Dr. Gault graduated from Cornell University Medical College and trained in Internal Medicine at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in New York City. After completing his cardiology training at the National Heart Institute, National Institutes of Health, he joined the faculty of the University of California, San Diego, as Director, Cardiovascular Diagnosis Laboratories. He subsequently moved to the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine where he served as Professor of Medicine and Radiology and Chief of the Cardiology Division.

In 1974, Dr. Gault left academic medicine to establish the cardiac program at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 2000, he moved to Okatie, South Carolina and currently works part-time in the cardiology division of the South Coast Medical Group in Savannah, Georgia.
Among other distinctions, Dr. Gault has served as Governor of the American College of Cardiology and President of the College’s Pennsylvania Chapter, and has been listed in “Best Doctors in America.”
