Can SCA be treated?

When SCA strikes, immediate defibrillation is the only reliable means of restoring the normal heart rhythm necessary for life. As survival rates drop precipitously after a victim’s collapse, it is vital that this life-saving shock be delivered within 3 minutes or less. As such, the presence of an onsite AED along with a comprehensive emergency response plan is imperative to saving lives.
