Laurie Shahon

Laurie founded Wilton Capital Group in 1994 to make private direct investments in venture capital opportunities and medium-sized leveraged buyouts. She has served on the boards of more than twenty public and private companies since 1987, including Arbor Drugs, The Bombay Company, Bradlees, Eddie Bauer, Kitty Hawk and Safelite Holdings. She currently serves on the boards of Knight Capital, where she is Chairman of the Compensation Committee, The Antioch Companies, where she is Chairman and Life Insurance Company of Boston and New York.

Prior to founding Wilton Capital, Ms. Shahon lead mergers, acquisitions and special operating projects at a private holding company in which capacity she served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Color Tile, a 700 store flooring chain. Prior to that, she was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers, where she founded and headed up the firm’s Retailing and Consumer Products Group.

Ms. Shahon is a graduate of Wellesley College and has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School in Finance and International Business, where she has been an Adjunct Professor. Her not-for-profit directorships have included the Jose Limon Foundation, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and Lower East Side Printshop.
